Van Gogh Museum
Reactive Visuals that analyze van Gogh’s work.
Circus Family created custom scripts that analyzed the paintings of Vincent van Gogh in real time per pixel and translated this information into a grid of colored and animated lines. Each painting representing a different set of colors and patterns but all very much van Gogh. The script in action was shown on lcd screens while the output animations were playing as projections.
The band Jungle by Night was invited by the van Gogh Museum to curate a friday evening in which a selection of paintings inspired them to perform new music tracks. Circus Family paired this evening and performace with visuals. These were based on a selection of paintings by van Gogh.
